Christmas is a season when activities ramp up; and while many of these things are well and good, much of our busyness simply distracts us from the real meaning of why we celebrate. The truth of Christmas plunges us into thick reality: God humbled Himself to be born as a human baby in a smelly stable. Not only did He become fully human while also fully God, He lovingly walked among us and willingly went to the cross as the sacrificial lamb to take away the sins of everyone. Now that’s something to celebrate!
